Forza Horizon 5 : The WORST Car in Forza... (FH5 MG MG3) (2024)

I think my dishwasher has more horsepower than this car.

The MG3 reminds me a lot of my first car, an '01 VW Golf. Underpowered, "light", FWD sh*tbox, but so much fun to drive

So glad Forza added cars we have all been asking for and making sure they are worth our time

I would genuinely love to see a punto back in the forza franchise
Specifically a 2001 1.6 sporting but I'd take an abarth either

There is some *light* confusion here:
The MG3 SW (2008-2011) was the Chinese revival of the Rover Streetwise which was a more ‘SUV looking’ version of a car called the Rover 25 that were both discontinued in 2005 when MG Rover ceased to exist and were bought by some Chinese companies. The MG3 in Forza is the second generation (2011-now) that dropped the ‘Streetwise’ name and acted as a spiritual successor to the old Rover 25. There was also a sporty version of the Rover 25 called the MG ZR which looked absolutely f*cking hilarious.

I actually like seeing cars like this get added to to FH5, sure it might be sh*t in game, but it would've been a great starter car, wouldn't mind seeing something like a Nissan Micra or a Peugeot 206 be added in the future as starter cars

This is one of the best cars they’ve added. Not exactly what I wanted when I said I wanted more low end cars but it’s definitely a good start.

TBF, That sort of "basic economy-class sh*tbox" Starter Car is something of a standard in the Gran Turismo franchise, and I think it really helps sell the progression of that series.
The Horizon games _used_ to do this, most notably with the Corrado starter car in H1, but in more recent games they've really shifted toward the more casual consumer end of the market; especially now with H5 starting you out with a Modern Supercar in the form of the C8 'Vette.

these everyday cars are the most fun in forza i think, because you can make like sleepers from boring cars. like 1200 hp 2jz swapped audi s1, renault clio with a 600 hp rally engine or a honda civic with a v8

I honestly am glad they added two new mg’s but instead of the MG MG3 they should’ve added the MG ZS that would of been a more interesting car or the even could’ve added the 1970 MG MGB or the 1941 MG TB but they had to add this.

"I want more common cars in the game" that's actually why I added a quite common car to my racing game. although the most kind of "sh*t boxy" one, a car I call the Femto City, isn't actually in the current version of the game.

he asks, in a game that makes drifting the easiest thing ever. I never played on a console in my life, and the first time I tried FH5 on my cousin's console, I drifted a stock A90 with no issues at all.

Drifting a lukewarm-hatch is the best use of it, especially since if you crash its all el-cheapo anyways so its cost-effective to repair XP

This is actually the best car they've added. Finally we get to have a normal car that's not a sporty version of something or an unimpressive AWD thing like the 323.
If anything Forza needs MORE front wheel drive sh*tboxes.

The MG3 is based on a Rover Streetwise which was based on a Rover 25, but the Rover 25 was just a facelifted Rover 200 which was launched in 1995. That means the MG3 is based on a 27 year old design. 😂

I love driving this thing stock and revving it to the limit in forza. Such a slow but super fun car which I’m glad they added.

I completely agree on the thing u said at 3:05, we should start with "sh*tboxes" like we did in earlier forza motorsport games and work our way somewhat up, was what made progression fun and exploring more cars (especially since u had to do championships in DCBA class before u got into proper quick cars)

Can’t work out why but if you choose the black with red stripe paint, then paint the stock wheels black, the red stripe disappears. Mirrors stay red though.

This thing is literally the cheapest new car you can buy in Australia with an automatic transmission. The Mitsubishi Mirage with a manual transmission is about $1k cheaper than the MG3

And it would be so nice if you could pick spec for the car when you buy it from autoshow.
Like for example choose if you want an Audi A6, A6 Allroad, S6 or RS6...
Or even pick between if you want Golf R hatch or Golf R Sportscombi, stuff like that would be amazing I think. For a game that's all about freedom I want freedom to pick a sh*tty base car like the things us scrubby gamer boys own IRL and modify it like we would IRL.
Not just have the absolute fastest cars from every car make.

Are you sure you did you homework? that MG3 trophy was a one off track car that Jason Plato helped to engineer. Its not called an MG MG3 its called an MG3 and it has won awards.
