In recent months, the security situation in Brazil has worsened. This is mainly due to the increased activity of gangs and criminal groups, especially in the north of the country. During Bolsonaro’s presidency, crime went down, due to his tougher but controversial policies against criminals. However, many perceive Lula’s government to be more lenient. Amendments to the Taiwan "National Security Act" §2, §7With the development of information and communication technologies, as well as the changing geo-political and economic situations, threats to national security have already extended beyond official areas and matters.This amendment aims to expand the provisions that originally required confidentiality in “official matters” to include "matters involving national security or public interest."Through this, I hope to further consolidate national security, while also promoting a continued, normal and stable development for our country.

China is pioneering new forms of coercion & conquest in which it takes control of strategic territory, economic interests, physical assets & goods, supply chains & logistics, digital networks, data, payments, etc. Subtlety & plausible deniability are key, but such ambitions increasingly require hard power. When control by Axis proxies is not enough, will Beijing increasingly rely on CCP-controlled private security firms to protect its expanding empire instead of deploying uniformed PLA forces abroad? If so, is there any real difference aside from narrative? We need to start calling Communist China what it really is: an empire.
